Advanced Revenue Management
Revenue arrangements, fair value, and recognition rules that match how you actually deliver, not how a script guessed last year.
What this is in NetSuite
NetSuite ARM is the native engine for ASC 606 / IFRS 15 style recognition: performance obligations, revenue elements, and the schedule that posts over time. It is not a report. If the arrangement, item, or contract change is wrong, the income statement is wrong even when cash looks fine.
- Revenue arrangements and revenue elements
- Fair-value and residual allocation across obligations
- Contract changes, holdbacks, and catch-up adjustments
- Hand-off from SuiteBilling, sales orders, and custom scripts that currently fight ARM
- A written map of how an order becomes recognized revenue
- Sandbox UAT and a user guide, not a Friday preference flip
- Fewer month-end true-ups caused by stale script logic
- Recognition that survives a new SKU, a mid-term change, or a location add
What Salora actually does
- Discovery before code: map what is intentional, inherited, and broken
- Stand up ARM the way the tickets actually look: item setup, features and preferences, production checklist, UAT scripts, user guide, then data backfill
- Build custom ARM when native will not hold unbilled receivables, milestone billing stages, or project WBS percent-complete
- Rescue ARM that was turned on wrong: recreate items, retire conflicting scripts, and prove the next close in sandbox
- Leave month-end saved searches and a close checklist finance can run without opening a ticket
Who benefits
Subscription dental groups, project-based disaster-recovery and professional-services firms, device and pharma manufacturers with complex delivery, and any team whose “rev rec” is still a stack of SuiteScripts nobody wants to own.
For a multi-location dental group, SuiteBilling was installed but recognition dates on sales orders were wrong. At Fleet Response, ARM was part of a rescue that also stood up SuiteProjects and OneWorld so percent-complete billing and the P&L finally agreed.
Named work
A dental group’s revenue engine stopped running clean
Subscription dental, Salesforce, a payment processor, a bank feed, and NetSuite were all “live.” Recognition dates and payments were not.
A disaster-recovery network that could not close in 15 days
A health check found 22 custom scripts, 18 workflows, 21 half-baked integrations, and a month-end that took 15 days. Spreadsheets were holding the company up.
Questions teams ask
- Is ARM the same as SuiteBilling?
- No. SuiteBilling creates the contract and invoices. ARM recognizes the revenue. We configure them as a pair so billing and the P&L don’t drift apart.
- Can you fix ARM without a full reimplementation?
- Usually yes. Most of our ARM work is optimization on a live instance: clean the arrangement model, retire conflicting scripts, and prove the next close in sandbox.
